Brontibay Paris

Brontibay was created in Paris by Penelope Robertson and Olivier Naim in 1995, The name is an acronym of their two favorite Australian beaches, Bronte Beach and Byron Bay. Their story began in a Melbourne café in 1993 where the two first met. Penelope then moved to Paris where the couple, “just for fun” started designing and producing lightweight, colourful bags in local Parisian ateliers and selling them at the vintage flea markets. The bags proved to be very popular which propelled the couple to create an original collection that was shown for the first time at the Prêt à Porter tradeshow in Paris in 1996.
